Chelsea, West Ham & Newcastle eye Lucas Digne signing
According to Sky Sports, Chelsea, Newcastle and West Ham are interested in signing wantaway Everton left-back Lucas Digne. The European champions has registered their interest since it was decided that left-back Ben Chilwell would undergo surgery on his knee ligaments ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Newcastle will hope to sign the French international in a bid to boost their chances of Premier League survival. The French defender has been out of the Everton side after a public falling out with manager Rafa Benitez over tactics. It is understood that Everton would require a fee of £30m for letting Digne depart.
Kieran Trippier agree personal terms with Newcastle
According to Fabrizio Romano, Kieran Trippier has agreed personal terms with Newcastle United as the Tyneside club looks to make their first signing since the new ownership took charge. It is understood that a medical has been arranged in the UK for Trippier to undergo and finalize the transfer from Atletico Madrid.
Talks between Newcastle and the Englishman's representatives proved to be no hurdle at all as Trippier wished to leave the Spanish champions in order to make a return to his homeland. The deal will be made official as soon as Trippier passes his medical and minor details are finalized between the Magpies and the Spanish giants.

Real Madrid opt out of Antonio Rudiger race
According to Marca, Real Madrid have decided to end their pursuit of Antonio Rudiger due to his outrageous wage demands. The Chelsea star is out of contract in the summer and can be bought on a free transfer but the Spanish club's efforts to recruit the German has gone in vain as he is asking for £200,000 per week.
The Spanish giants lost Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane the previous summer and want to add some reinforcements to their defense. Madrid are unwilling to pay that amount as they are content with the success of current centre-backs Eder Militao and David Alaba this season.
Barcelona are confident of landing Erling Haaland this summer
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is confident that his club will be able to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland in the summer according to Marca. It is understood that the Norwegian is Laporta's top target for the summer transfer window and believes that the Blaugrana will have the required funds to make their move at the end of the season.
Real Madrid are also likely to entice the Norway international but Barcelona believe that the 21-year-old can be lured by the preposition that he will be the main man around whom Xavi Hernandez will build his squad around.
Philippe Coutinho attracting interest from England again
According to Goal, Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho has attracted England with the likes of Liverpool, Aston Villa and Everton all reportedly keen on signing the 29-year-old on a short term deal in January. The La Liga giants are keen on getting the Brazilian off their books and are thus eager on letting him leave before the window closes.
However, reports had indicated that a move to Brazil could also be on the cards but Goal has refuted that as they have reported that Coutinho's wage demands and the fact that he believes he can still play top flight European football, rules out a move to South America.
Juventus make contact with Paris Saint-Germain over move for Mauro Icardi
With Alvaro Morata potentially on his way back to Spain and to Barcelona, L'Equipe has reported that Juventus are looking into a move for Mauro Icardi with the Turin side already making contact with PSG to loan the Argentine forward.
The 28-year-old has struggled to make an impact this season for the Parisians and would be open to returning to Italy with PSG open to the move but the Ligue 1 giants are reportedly only looking at a permanent deal. However, L'Equipe has reported that the two clubs are in talks and Juventus believe they can get a deal done.
Aaron Ramsey rejects offer to sign for Burnley
According to Calciomercato, Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey has rejected the chance to play for Burnley as the Welshman is looking to see out the remainder of his contract in Turin with the Serie A giants.
Sean Dyche's side have been looking to reinforce their team ahead of a relegation dog-fight and reports have indicated that the 31-year-old was at the top of their shortlist although Ramsey has rejected the chance to sign for the Clarets. The midfielder has eighteen months left on his contract at Juventus and is keen on seeing that out.
Chelsea keen on signing Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni
According to Goal, Chelsea are keen to add another midfielder to the squad as they look to reinforce their midfield after a couple of injuries. The 21-year-old has put in a host of impressive performances for the Ligue 1 side and a number of top European clubs are monitoring the Frenchman's progress.
Chelsea are eager to avoid a bidding war and are ready to act now as they aim to lure the French midfielder to Stamford Bridge. A fee of around €40 million is deemed to be enough to convince the Ligue 1 side in letting their prized asset go. Chelsea have registered an interest in Declan Rice although it will prove impossible to sign the Englishman and Tchouameni.
Brighton sign 18-year-old Polish midfielder Kacper Kozlowski for £8 million
In a statement, Brighton have confirmed that they have signed Polish midfielder Kacper Kozlowski with the deal subject to international clearance and reports have indicated that the 18-year-old has signed a contract until 2026.
The statement also confirmed that the youngster is set to head out on loan immediately, joining Belgian side Royale Union St-Gilloise. Kozlowski, for those who don't remember, became the youngest player, at the age of 17, to feature at the European Championships when he walked off the bench for Poland in a 1-1 draw against Spain.
"Brighton and Hove Albion are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Kacper Kozlowski from Ekstraklasa side Pogon Szczecin, on undisclosed terms and subject to international clearance. The 18-year-old Polish international has signed a contract until June 2026 and is set to head out on loan during the current transfer window, joining Belgian league leaders Royale Union St-Gilloise," reads the statement.

Wolves sign Hayao Kawabe from Swiss Super League side Grasshopper Club Zurich
After little to no speculation, Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed that they have signed Japanese midfielder Hayao Kawabe for a reported fee of around £500,000. The 26-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Molineux side and will head back on loan, for the remainder of the season, to the Swiss Super league side.
"Wolves have signed Japanese international midfielder Hayao Kawabe from Swiss Super League side Grasshopper Club Zurich. The 26-year-old will become Wolves’ first ever Japanese player and the move comes after an impressive first half season in European football with Grasshoppers, who he joined from Sanfrecce Hiroshima last summer," reads the statement.

Flamengo won't accept any loan proposals for Gabriel "Gabigol" Barbosa, only big fees
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Flamengo are not going to let Gabriel "Gabigol" Barbosa leave on loan with them only looking to accept big proposals for the forward this month. The Brazilian striker has attracted interest from England this month with West Ham in talks for an 18-month loan deal.
However, Flamengo consider Gabigol a key part of their team and thus have no plans of letting the forward leave on loan but are open to discussing a big money move for the former Inter Milan striker.

AC Milan yet to hear back from Alessio Romagnoli after tabling contract extension
With less than six months left on his current contract, Calciomercato has reported that Alessio Romagnoli has yet to respond to AC Milan's latest contract offer with the Rossoneri reportedly keen on keeping the Italian defender at the San Siro.
The report has revealed that the club have tabled a three-year contract extension that will also see Romagnoli's wages rise to €3.5m per year. However, the 26-year-old is reportedly looking at his future and is waiting to see what other clubs are keen on him and thus Milan have reportedly shortlisted Montpellier center-back Maxime Estève as a replacement.
Bayern not planning to sign Raphinha or Van de Beek
Bayern Munich are not considering to sign Leeds winger Raphinha or Manchester United's Donny Van de Beek in this January transfer window according to Sky Germany. The German champions have been strongly linked with both men as Julian Nagelsmann looks to add reinforcements to his side.
The priority at the moment is to extend Kingsley Coman's contract to ensure his future at Allianz Arena. The addition of the Brazilian winger will be unnecessary if Coman does renew his contract with the German giants. Both Raphinha and Van de Beek are not among Bayern's transfer targets in this window or in the summer.
Manchester City willing to do swap deal involving Aymeric Laporte and Frenkie de Jong
According to The Mail, Manchester City are considering a swap deal involving Aymeric Laporte and Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. The Blaugrana are eager to add reinforcements to their defensive ranks with Laporte being identified as the optimal solution.
The reigning Premier League champions are willing to let the Laporte depart but only for a swap deal that would include De Jong. Laporte had previously looked to seal an exit from the Etihad Stadium and he could get his wish if Barcelona agree to the deal.
City manager Pep Guardiola is a huge admirer of the Dutchman and will look to seal a move for the midfielder whose contract at the Catalan club runs until 2026.
Dries Mertens and PSV Eindhoven in talks over a potential return
With Dries Mertens entering the final six-months of his current contract, reports have indicated that Napoli are yet to offer the forward a new contract and it has seen the 34-year-old consider his options including a return to the Eredivisie.
That is according to Le Bombe Di Vlad, who have reported that Mertens is in talks with his former club over a potential return and is keen on going back to the Netherlands. The Belgian spent just over six years in the Netherlands, including a two year spell at PSV before he left for Italy.
AS Roma defender Bryan Reynolds to leave on loan in this transfer window
ESPN has reported that USMNT defender Bryan Reynolds is set to leave AS Roma on loan in this transfer window with the 20-year-old looking for more game-time. The defender has found minutes tough to get since he signed for the club in January 2021, having played just one minute in the Serie A this season.
The young right-back has attracted interest from more than a few clubs but Belgian side Anderlecht are the front-runners and Reynolds is reportedly open to signing for them with him looking for more first-team football.

According to Helena Condis Edo, Barcelona and Aston Villa are currently in talks over a potential move for Philippe Coutinho with the Brazilian midfielder out of favour at the Camp Nou. The reporter has revealed that the deal will be a loan move until the end of the season although talks are still ongoing between the two parties.
The 29-year-old has struggled to impress since signing for a club record fee in 2018 and has been heavily linked with a move away over the last eighteen months with ESPN reporting that Everton and Liverpool were heavily linked with a move earlier this month.

Manchester United targetting a summer move for Dan-Axel Zagadou
With less than six months left on his contract, Foot Mercato has reported that Manchester United are eyeing a move for Dan-Axel Zagadou at the end of the season, once the defender's contract with Borussia Dortmund expires.
The 22-year-old signed for the Bundesliga side on a free-transfer in 2017 after he left PSG and could do so again at the end of the season with Dortmund struggling to tie him down to a new contract. But Fussball Transfers has reported that two parties are in negotiations over a new contract with the Red Devils keeping an eye on proceedings right now.
