India vs Sri Lanka | Predicted XI for 4th T20I in Nidahas Trophy

Rohit Sharma - The stand-in Indian skipper has always performed well in Sri Lanka, but he is going through a terrible run of form. After a disastrous South Africa series, he has carried on his wretched run of form in the first two matches of the Nidahas Trophy. He will have to start leading the team from the front, otherwise he could end up losing his place to other players for the upcoming series.

Shikhar Dhawan - The left-handed opener is in the form of his cricketing career. He is scoring runs for fun averaging a cool 57.6 in his last five innings. The signs don't look promising for the Lankans against whom he averages 49.25 and the kind of form that he is in, only a madman would bet against him piling on the runs. 

Suresh Raina - Raina made a successful comeback in the South Africa series, winning the man of the match award, but failed to continue it in the Nidahas Trophy so far. With Rohit not being able to score runs, Raina needs to help Dhawan and other batsmen to keep the run rate high.

Manish Pandey - After a slow innings in the first T20I of the tournament, Pandey picked up his strike rate in the second and scored at a faster rate against Bangladesh. He is a very good batsman in the limited overs format of the game and can be a very useful batsman for India if he can perform well today.

Rishabh Pant - After Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka, the series has become wide open for all three teams, who have a win apiece, and India may go with the same playing XI which means Rishabh Pant can feature in today’s game despite failing to provide any stability in the given opportunities. In the last game, he was promoted up the order ahead of Raina but scored only seven runs. He needs to step up now because a hungry KL Rahul is waiting in the wings.

Dinesh Karthik - The newly appointed Kolkata Knight Riders skipper has always been a safe player in the shortest format of the game. He doubles it up with his wicket keeping ability and also helps Rohit Sharma with the DRS. He can be a very destructive player on his day and if India should need him, you can be sure that he will be ready.

Vijay Shankar - The Tamil Nadu all-rounder won a morale-boosting Man of the match award in the last game and will want to repeat the same performance against the Lankan Lions today. Well, he didn’t get a chance to bat in any of the matches but he will be looking forward to showing his ability with the bat as well.

Washington Sundar - The Tamil Nadu off-spinning all-rounder highlights his importance in the team by bowling economical overs in the powerplay and can bat as well. Like Shankar, he also hasn't got a chance to wield the willow so far, he also wants to score some runs as he did in the Tamil Nadu Premier League last year.

Shardul Thakur - The 26-year-old played the two games but he got his first wicket of the series in the second match against Bangladesh. The Indian pacer gave the momentum to the team as he claimed the wicket of Tamim Iqbal who can be dangerous in the later stages.

Yuzvendra Chahal - The leggie is missing his partner Kuldeep Yadav, but in the Sri Lankan conditions, he has more task of picking up wickets because of the absence of Kuldeep. The Indian pacers are more effective in the tournament so far and during the games, his one good spell is enough to turn the game in India's favor.

Jaydev Unadkat - The Saurashtra Pacer has a lot of variations and his change of pace helps Indian team as well. He troubled batsmen in the first two matches and his good performance with the ball means Sri Lanka will have to do something more effective to win the crucial game.
