After impressive performances on the A tour, Shreyas Iyer and Manish Pandey have returned to the Indian ODI side for the series against West Indies. On the other hand, the selectors have decided to rest Jasprit Bumrah to manage the workload ahead of the Test series and the upcoming home season.

The Indian batting line-up almost has an identical look for the ODI and T20 series against West Indies as the selectors decided to award the A performances. Manish Pandey, who scored a century in the third unofficial ODI against Windies, and Shreyas Iyer, who has been a regular scorer for the A side, have been brought back to the side while Shikhar Dhawan made his way back to the team after missing part of the World Cup with a thumb injury.

Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have retained their spots in the line-up and will join the team after the T20 series. Khaleel Ahmed has returned to the ODI side while Navdeep Saini, who was brilliant with the ball for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, has been given a call-up to the national side.

Jasprit Bumrah’s rest means Mohammed Shami and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have a lot of responsibility on their shoulder, especially considering the absence of Hardik Pandya.

India’s squad for 3 ODIs: Virat Kohli (Captain), Rohit Sharma (VC), Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Navdeep Saini
