Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who last played for India in the West Indies series back in August, has returned to the Indian team for the West Indies home T20 series while Sanju Samson has been dropped from the side. Despite regular poor performances, Rishabh Pant has been trusted with the keeping duties.

The last time Bhuvneshwar Kumar played for India was an ODI against West Indies at Port of Spain in which he had gone wicket-less. Subsequent injuries ruled him out of the South Africa and Bangladesh series. He made a rather modest return for Uttar Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament in which he could pick only one wicket from two matches. However, that couldn't stop him from being selected for the Windies home series.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be a part of a three-pronged pace attack alongside Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar, with Shivam Dube contributing with his seam-up bowling. The pace-bowling unit will be complemented by Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav's wrist-spin and finger-spin by Ravindra Jadeja Washington Sundar.

Virat Kohli is back in the squad to lead it as the team prepare themselves for the T20 World Cup in next year. The entire senior set-up has remained constant even though there were a lot of talks about resting them ahead of the Australia series.

India's team for T20I series against West Indies: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Manish Pandey, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Shivam Dube, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Deepak Chahar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar
