With the start of the 2020/21 Serie A season closing in, Sky Sports has reported that AC Milan have submitted a new bid for Sandro Tonali despite Inter Milan’s approach. The midfielder was Brescia’s only shining light this season as the club got relegated back to the Serie B after finishing 19th.

Italy head coach Roberto Mancini believes that former Inter Milan star Mario Balotelli is squandering his potential with another exit on the cards for the striker. The move to Brescia last summer was supposed to be the perfect stage for Balotelli to showcase his talent but it hasn’t worked out.

Italy and Serie A legend Andrea Pirlo has admitted that while Brescia star Sandro Tonali has been compared to him, the youngster is another type of player and much more defensively astute. The 20-year-old has drawn comparisons to Pirlo himself over the years and has been linked with a move away.
