Shakib Al Hasan has been named in the Bangladesh squad for two T20Is and three ODIs, starting from February 23. Two uncapped players Munim Shahriar and Yasir Ali have also been included in the team after their impressive performances in the recently concluded Bangladesh Premier League 2022.

Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has made a return to the ODI squad for the upcoming three match series against Bangladesh starting from February 23. The team will tour Bangladesh for three ODI matches in February and two T20I fixtures to be played in March at Chattogram and Dhaka.

Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan didn't hesitate to express his unwillingness of leading the team after they faced 224-run defeat against Afghanistan in the recently concluded one-off Test match. The all-rounder has revealed that it's ideal for him as a player if he didn't have to be captain.

Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has revealed that he quit Test cricket in order to help the team build the core in the longest format with young cricketers. Nabi further added that the experience of both himself and Rashid Khan in Bangladesh conditions helped his team triumph over the hosts.
