Pakistan Cricket Board have suggested Danish Kaneria to appeal to England and Wales Cricket Board, who imposed a life ban on the leg-spinner in 2012. The board has also turned down the appeal of Saleem Malik who wanted to be reintegrated into Pakistan cricket in a coaching or mentoring role.

England's bowling coach Chris Silverwood is in England Cricket Board's (ECB) radar as one of the men to potentially take over as the head coach of the England team. After the departure of Trevor Bayliss, the ECB are now in hunt to find the next coach, with the winter season all set to begin.

Kent have acquired the services of South African skipper Faf du Plessis for the remainder of the Vitality T20 Blast. The South African is set to be available for the team's final two group matches against Gloucestershire and Essex and will subsequently play the knockouts, should they qualify.
