Well, the IPL Auction certainly got a new kick-in, with some players going for crazy cash, including the usual suspects in the form of Maxwell and Morris. But when it came to the new players, Jhye Richardson, Riley Meredith and Kyle Jamieson came out as the Richie Rich-es in the auction.

Well, it was inevitable that one of Chris Morris or Glenn Maxwell had to go all-out, be a big thing in the IPL auction. When Glenn Maxwell’s name came popping, there was RCB and CSK fighting for him but it was really Rajasthan Royals, who got Morris, for a freaking 16.25 crores, massive!

Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim, who went unsold in the recently concluded IPL auction, has admitted that he did have hopes of getting picked but has stated that he has since moved on from the disappointment. The wicket-keeper batsman had a base price of 75 lakh but had no franchises who wanted him.
